TEXT OF STATEMENT ISSUED AT 4.30 P.M. AT AGRA ON JULY 15, 2001The Prime Minister of India and the President of Pakistan met today for one and a half hours of one-to-one and over an hour of delegation level talks.
The talks were held in a very cordial, frank and constructive manner.
PM and President Musharraf will have further meetings later today and tomorrow.
Talks will also be held between the two delegations and Official and Ministerial levels.
The President of Pakistan has extended an invitation to the PM to visit Pakistan, which has been accepted.
