FOREIGN SECRETARY APPOINTED
The Appointments Committee
of the Cabinet has approved the appointment of Shri Kanwal Sibal,
IFS (66), presently Secretary (West) in the Ministry of External
Affairs, as Foreign Secretary with effect from 1st
July, 2002 vice Ms. Chokila Iyer due for superannuation on 30.6.2002.
