Petroleum Minister showcases sectoral opportunities in Make in India Week

The Union Petroleum and Natural Gas Minister Shri Dharmendra Pradhan has stressed on the need to enhance domestic production of Oil & Gas through process and technical improvements, besides enhanced exploratory coverage. Speaking at ‘Make in India’ event in Mumbai today, he said that government is committed towards creating a conducive business environment through better policies and investment opportunities.

In line with the Hon’ble Prime Minister’s vision of economic transformation and self reliance in the manufacturing sector, Make in India week is being hosted in Mumbai, the country’s commercial capital, between February 13-18, 2016. The event is being attended by a battery of prospective investors from India and abroad. A major highlight in the weeklong event was the Sectoral Seminar on Opportunities in Oil & Natural Gas, which was graced by the Hon’ble MoS (I/C) for Petroleum & Natural Gas, Shri. Dharmendra Pradhan. All the Oil Marketing Companies, as well as those in the upstream and midstream sector, are showcasing the investments being planned for enhancement of manufacturing activity in the country, in the event.
