International Crude Oil Prices of Indian Basket Moves up on 04.07.2012 to US$ 98.04/BBL

The international crude oil price for Indian Basket as computed/published today by the Petroleum Planning and Analysis Cell (PPAC) under the Ministry of Petroleum and Natural Gas increased to US$ 98.04/barrel (bbl) on 04.7.2012.The price was higher than US$ 97.08 /bbl on the previous trading day of 3.7.2012.

 

In rupee terms also, the crude oil price increased to Rs 5348.08 per bbl on 04.07.2012 from Rs 5320.95 per bbl on 3.07.2012. This was due to price increase in dollar terms despite rupee appreciation with rupee-dollar exchange rate  on 04.07.2012 at Rs  54.55/US$ against Rs 54.81  /US$ on 3.07.2012.
