C. REASONS FOR SHORTFALL

Company / State

Reasons for shortfall

ONGC (Gujarat)

Poor Influx & Power shutdown.

ONGC (Mumbai High Offshore)

Less than anticipated oil gain from development and side track wells.   Closure of wells due to low availiability of gas for gas lift. Production affected due to increasing water cut, less than anticipated oil gain from Vasai East. Less line condensate receipt from offshore.

OIL (Assam & Arunachal Pradesh)

Several OIL Blockades by various Groups during the month of July, 2012 and frequent miscreants activities in the fields.

Pvt./JVCs  ( Arunachal Pradesh)

Water/sand ingress in wells and underperformance of newly drilled wells.

Pvt./JVCs ( Western Offshore-Panna-Mukta)

Lower oil production due to delay in well intervation jobs, unplanned shutdown and underperformance of MA # 4 & # 8 wells.  NANG production is nil due to ceasing of PG.

A statement showing Crude Oil Production during July, 2012 and cumulatively for the period April- July, 2012 vis-à-vis 2011-12 planned production is at Annexure-I
