| Parag p. Tripathi Appointed as Additional Solicitor General of India |
The Government has appointed Shri Parag P. Tripathi, Senior Advocate as Additional Solicitor General of India in the Supreme Court of India with immediate effect for a period of two years. An alumni of Delhi University and Harvard Law School, Cambridge, USA, Shri Tripathi had been designated as Senior Advocate in January 2000. He has been in active practice in India since 1983 in the Supreme Court, the High Court of Delhi and other High Courts, Judicial Tribunals and Bodies, CEGAT, CLB, MRTP and Commercial Arbitrations, chambered with Mr. K.K. Venugopal, Senior Advocate (1986). His areas of specialization include Constitutional Law, Administrative Law, Commercial and Corporate Laws, including both in Court litigation and private forum litigation like arbitrations, negotiations and out of Court settlements. He has a wide range of experience in settling foreign collaborations, joint venture agreements and project finance agreements for clients.
Shri Tripathi published papers in leading Law Journals and has actively participated in various seminars in India and abroad.
