CCI Decision
The Cabinet Committee on Infrastructure today approved the proposal for purchase of seven number of Dauphin AS-365 N3 helicopters by Pawan Hans Helicopters Limited in the following manner:
(i) Purchase of seven number of Dauphin N3 helicopters by Pawan Hans Helicopters Limited at a cost of Euro 55,896,030 (Rs. 392.50 crore at FE rate of 01 Euro = Rs.70.22) as per Memorandum of Agreement (MOA) dated 03.04.2009 signed with M/s. Eucocopter, France.
(ii) Option clause for future additional purchase of Dauphin N3 helicopters may be included in the procurement contract, so that additional Dauphin N3 helicopters can be procured, if necessary, on the same price and terms and conditions.
This will enable Pawan Hans Helicopters Limited (PHHL) to augment capacity for growth and to meet additional requirement of offshore operations. With this, PHHL will be able to compete effectively in the market.
