The international
crude oil price for Indian Basket as computed/published today by the Petroleum
Planning and Analysis Cell (PPAC) under the Ministry of Petroleum and Natural
Gas increased to US$ 90.75 /barrel (bbl) on 26.6.2012.The price was higher than
US$ 89.39/bbl on the previous trading day of 25.6.2012.
In rupee terms also,
the crude oil price increase to Rs 5179.10
per bbl on 26.06.2012 from Rs 5053.22
per bbl on 25.06.2012. This was due to increase in price in dollar terms
and rupee depreciation with rupee-dollar
exchange rate on 26.06.2012 at Rs 57.07
/US$ against Rs 56.53/US$
on 25.06.2012.
