The President of India, as advised by the Prime Minister, has accepted the resignation of the following members of the Union Council of Ministers with immediate effect:

1.    Shri Mukul Roy,

Minister of Railways

2.    Shri Sudip Bandyopadhyay,

Minister of State, Ministry of Health and Family Welfare

3.    Shri Saugata Roy,

Minister of State, Ministry of Urban Development

4.    Choudhary Mohan Jatua,

Minister of State, Ministry of Information & Broadcasting

5.    Shri Sultan Ahmed,

Minister of State, Ministry of Tourism

6.    Shri Sisir Adhikari,

Minister of State, Ministry of Rural Development

Further, as advised by the Prime Minister of India, the President has directed that Shri C.P. Joshi, Minister of Road Transport and Highways shall be assigned the additional charge of the Ministry of Railways.
