Lamp Lighting Ceremony of 57th Batch of Probationer Nurses

Lt. Gen. AS Narula, Commandant Army Hospital (R&R) inaugurated Lamp lighting ceremony of 57th batch of Probationer Nurses, School of Nursing was held at Ayurvigyan Auditorium, Army Hospital (Referral & Research) here today. At the ceremony, 15 young nursing students donned the probationer nurses uniform to begin their training. Prizes were also distributed to meritorious students of previous batches.
Maj Gen HJ Bhullar, Addl DGMNS emphasized that the human touch is most important in their profession. She said that in the nursing profession all should develop positive attitude, empathetic outlook and human touch and yet keep pace with advances in medical technology. She observed that a right blend of head, heart and hand is the way to become a successful nursing professional.
In an impressive ceremony the light of knowledge was passed from one student to another and the pledge was administered to the new inductees.
