Field developed by villages and block Panchayats in A.P.

The Minister of State (Independent Charge) for Youth Affairs & Sports Shri Jitendra Singh has said that as per the information provided by the State Government of Andhra Pradesh, playfields in 6570 Village Panchayats and 339 Block Panchayats have been developed. In a written reply in the Rajya Sabha today he said, during the year 2012-13, an allocation of Rs. 235 Crore has been made under Panchayat Yuva Krida Aur Khel Abhiyan (PYKKA) Scheme. The State of Andhra Pradesh has been provided a sum of Rs. 11.50 Crore during the current financial year for holding of Annual Rural Competitions under the scheme.
