As per its Constitutional mandate, the
National Commission for Scheduled Castes, initiates steps to investigate and
monitor such cases, by seeking necessary reports/documents from the public
authorities.
This information was
given by the Minister of State for Social Justice and Empowerment, Shri P. Balram
Naik in a written reply to a question in Lok Sabha today.
