Swedish Social Security Minister ULF Kristersson meets K.Suresh for Bilateral Talks

A Bilateral Meeting between Shri K.Suresh Minister of State for Labour & Employment, Government of India and Mr. Ulf Kristersson, Minister of Social Security, Kingdom of Sweden today took place at Shram Shakti Bhawan, New Delhi. The two sides were represented by Senior Officials from respective Ministries. Both the sides exchanged information on issues related to labour welfare. Information on Rashtriya Sawasthya Bima Yojana (RSBY), Skill Development, Pension issues, Provident Fund in e-mode, the ESIC Hospitals chain and initiatives to curb Child Labour, India’s commitment to ILO convention were briefed to the Swedish Delegation. Welcoming his Swedish Counterpart Shri Ki Suresh said that is a high degree of political understanding and convergence of views between the two sides and the two countries can expand their collaboration as well as share experience in mutual areas of understanding. The two sides also exchanged pleasantries after the meeting.
