The Cadets of class XII of Sainik School, Kunjpura have accomplished the enviable feat of maximum number of them qualifying for joining the National Defence Academy (NDA) for the 116th course due to commence in Jun 06. Out of 24 boys who had earlier qualified the written exam conducted by the Union Public Service Commission (UPSC), sixteen of them have now successfully qualified the Service Selection Board (SSB) interviews held at various centers recently. The grit, determination and hard work put in during the last one year by the staff and students to achieve their singular aim have been rewarded.

The sixteen cadets of the school have crossed all barriers on their way to NDA by undergoing a rigorous selection procedure which include the All India Level Written Exam followed by the SSB interviews and a comprehensive medical examination. The selection of the boys is the result of an extensive academic, mental and physical training programme followed throughout their stay in the school.
