Proposals for financial assistance have been received from two States to set up new Industrial Training Institutes(ITIs) under the proposed National Skill Development Mission. This includes setting up of 40 new ITIs in the State of Kerala at a cost of Rs 214 crore and 105 ITIs in the State of Bihar. However, the setting up of the proposed National Skill Development Mission is still under consideration of the Planning Commission. This information was given by the Minister of State for Labour and Employment Shri Oscar Fernandes (Independent Charge) in a written reply in the Lok Sabha today. VBA/BS |
