Home Minister condemns terrorist attack in Srinagar

The Home Minister has condemned today’s terrorist attack on a rally in Srinagar. Describing the attack as an attempt to derail the on-going peace process, Shri Shivraj Patil said that such attacks will not deter the government from pursuing the goal of lasting peace and progress in Jammu and Kashmir. The Home Minister said that such attacks on innocent people will only fuel the anger of the people against terrorists and hasten the process of their marginalization. The Home Minister is in constant touch with the State Government and is keeping a close watch on the situation. The round table conference will be held on 24th and 25th of this month in Srinagar, as scheduled. OK / KP / HS
