Home Minister condemns grenade attacks in Srinagar and blasts in Mumbai

The Home Minister has condemned today’s grenade attacks in Sri Nagar and blasts in Mumbai which have claimed several innocent lives. Describing the incidents as an attempt to disturb peace, Shri Shivraj Patil expressed the Government’s resolve to fight the menace of terrorism in a determined manner. He expressed his condolences to the families of those killed in the incidents and prayed for speedy recovery of the injured. The Home Ministry is in constant touch with the Maharashtra and other State Governments and offered all possible assistance. The situation is being closely monitored. Suitable advisories are being issued to the State Governments. The Home Minister is likely to visit Mumbai tonight. OK/RS
