The Centre is in touch with the Assam Government in the wake of recent terrorist attacks in which several innocent people have been killed. The Home Minister, Shri Shiv Raj Patil has strongly condemned the attacks and conveyed his sympathies to the bereaved families. He said that militants will not succeed in their designs of disturbing the tradition harmony among different communities in the State.
The Home Minister, Shri Patil has also assured the Assam Government of full cooperation from the Centre in dealing with the situations. He said that the Government would not be cowed down by such attacks and would continue to work for establishing peace and normalcy in the State.
