Expenditure incurred on Malaria and Polio

Lok Sabha The details of funds allocated and expenditure incurred under National Vector Borne Diseases Control Programme (NVBDCP) and Pulse Polio Immunization (PPI) during the last three years are given below. NVBDCP consists of Malaria, Filariasis, Kala-azar, Dengue, Chickungunya and Japanese Encephalitis. (Rs. Higher allocation of funds has been earmarked for control of these diseases during 2007-08 at Rs.399.50 crores for NVBDCP, Rs.1341.48 crores for PPI and Rs.267.00 crores for TB.
