The Union Home Minister, Shri Shivraj Patil has strongly condemned today’s blasts in Uttar Pradesh. The following is the text of his statement.
“I strongly condemn the blasts which have taken place in three different cities of Uttar Pradesh today. I convey my sympathies to the bereaved families and pray for speedy recovery of the injured. This is yet another attempt by anti-national elements to spread panic. I am confident that peace-loving people of the country will give a fitting reply to such elements. The Government will continue to fight terrorism in a resolute manner. We are in touch with the State Government to see if any assistance is required by them from the Centre”.
