The Union Home Minister, Shri Shivraj Patil, who is in Meghalaya on an official visit, has strongly condemned today’s blasts in Jaipur. The following is the text of his statement :
“I condemn today’s dastardly blasts which took place in Jaipur, a traditionally peaceful city. I appeal to people to maintain calm and foil the designs of anti-national elements. I convey my condolences to the bereaved families and pray for speedy recovery of the injured. The Ministry of Home Affairs is in close touch with the Rajasthan Government and has assured them of all required assistance.”
