D. Purandeswari takes over as Minister of State for Human Resource Development

Smt. D. Purandeswari, took charge as the Minister of State for Higher Education, here today. While assuming charge, Ms Purandeswari said that she looks forward to undertaking her work with commitment and sincerity. She underlined that all aspects of Higher Education are important and the ministry will work with dedication towards improving the levels in this sector. She emphasized that greater access to education is a very important area and needs special attention. Smt. Purandeswari met Shri Kapil Sibal, Union Minister of HRD before assuming the charge of the Ministry. She represents the Visakhapatnam constituency of Andhra Pradesh in 15th Lok Sabha of India. She was Minister of State for HRD in the previous government also. MV/Hb
