Encouragement
to the indigenous Defence Industry to play a major role in meeting the needs of
the Armed Forces, ensuring transparency and accountability in all procurement
cases and liberalizing offset provisions to enable vendors to fulfill their
obligations are some of the highlights of the amended Defence Procurement
Procedure (DPP), which were issued here today. These amendments are
incorporated to the existing DPP – 2008 and will take effect from November
01, 2009.
