Seven days State mourning for Shri P V Narsimhna Rao

As a mark of respect to Shri P V Narsimha Rao, former Prime Minister of India, who passed away here today at 14.10 Hrs. The Union Government has decided to observe State mourning throughout India for seven days from today to December 29, 2004. During the period of State Mourning, the National Flag will be flown at half-mast throughout India, where it is flown regularly and there will be no official entertainment. It has also been decided to accord state funeral to the departed leader. The place, date and time of the state funeral will be intimated later.
